Week 9: Second interview at the company

On his own: After about 2 months, HE has played almost the entire keyboard with initiative and reactive applications to headhunters and companies, networking, interim providers and social media. Although HE has a few successful jobs behind him, the response to his offer is disappointing. This frustrates tremendously as ER's expectations were much more positive. He has since revised his submission for the third time and included a new photo. In the photo, he had himself photographed as a successful CEO with an almost aloof posture. The new document communicates more along the lines of, "Who wants to build their company around me?" A step backward in the first-person rotation of his application.
 
NewPlacement: the second interview in the same cast in the company, NP can introduce very well through his hand-out re-briefing. The 5-6 most important topics for the staffing and functionality of the target job are discussed. After 40 minutes, NP uses the prepared flip chart to summarize the company's demand factors mirrored with its performance, experience and competency values in a comparison. A strong performance, which the headhunter confirms to him on the way back on the phone. He announces a decision within 14 days.
 
Our recommendations:
17. the photo must correspond holistically to the rest of the application. In a figurative sense, it represents a candidate offering his services to the company: open, inviting and sympathetic as a projection for later cooperation.
18. The second interview (verification of first impressions) in the company should be a mutual matching. Both sides should have defined their demand factors in advance and mirror them before making a joint decision. Many applicants neglect this fact when the company makes a commitment, one of the reasons for separations during the probationary period or short periods.
