Week 15: Re-biography vs. job insurance

Job search initially self-directed (ER) vs. NewPlacement coaching (NP)

Previously on his own, since the 14th week in NewPlacement-Coaching: On the second day with the NewPlacement-Coach, re-biography (new view of his own career), benefit analysis, goal setting, interview strategy and success database are on the agenda. Afterwards, ER mourns one or the other project, which he would have approached differently with the current setup. As a farewell, HE receives a briefing for another photo shoot and the coach will prepare the cover letter, detailed and short profile as well as the change motivation until the next meeting.

Since the beginning in the NewPlacement-Coaching: Within the 14-day leave, coach and NP sit together 2 days before the start of the new task over the job insurance. Thereby all relevant points are addressed and together an organizational chart (formal/informal) for the new target job is set up. Furthermore, the stumbling blocks of onboarding as well as the inaugural speech are discussed. NP feels prepared and looks forward to the start.

Our recommendations in this regard:
29.In contrast to "ego rotation," the "top view" elevates the application process to a whole new dimension. It is the prerequisite for the assessment of mutual matching and thus also for unerring selection of suitable projects with prospects. The re-biography is therefore considered by our candidates to be the most important part of our joint set-up.
30. Those who believe that the application process ends with the signing of the contract are seriously mistaken. After the 2-3 decision-makers have been won over, colleagues, employees and external partners, among others, are now waiting. Listening has proven to be a good way to find out "unpublished" internals that are important for one's own performance.
