4. Works council, speaker committee

Internal moderation
For the managers affected by separation, after the termination meeting with the line manager and the HR manager, there remains the exchange with the works council or spokesperson committee (managers). These should support the employee's right to a final decision regarding the outplacement provider (methodology, coach) and, if necessary, point out existing social plans for leaning. Managers' hopes for withdrawal of separation intentions are belated. Works council or spokesperson committee should support the self-determination of the affected person with regard to the future and, if necessary, also act as mediator in the company here. The situation is best if the works council or spokespersons' committee were involved in the pre-selection of the 3 outplacement providers. However, a special role of the moderator should be to ensure that the separation is not dramatized and is handled in a fair manner for both sides. In this situation, one should intensively turn to the future, which can support the company with testimony, reference and fair transition.
