Onboarding in the new company
On the first day, the new manager is shown around and introduced to many colleagues and employees. No one expects you to remember everyone's name. This can be pointed out in the offices or hallways over the next few days: "Your name is important to me". The response will be surprising. If necessary, an inaugural speech is also expected as part of the introduction, which should be worked out together with the NewPlacement coach. In any case, you should pay attention to the internal "hallway radio" and use it for your own benefit. In every company there are so-called "bulletin boards", employees who specialize in the dissemination of news. One can also use these proactively by launching (in confidence). One should discuss the "formalities" for an onboarding party with the secretary of the next higher level (time, alcohol, extent, etc.). Parking is a status symbol; one should not get into these distribution battles too early. Again, a diplomatic approach is a must. In the context of job insurance, all these "stumbling blocks" are discussed with the coach and solutions are worked out.
