Week 8: Referral marketing vs. second interview preparation

Self-directed job search (ER) vs. NewPlacement coaching (NP):
 
In self-direction: ER makes considerations in the direction of his own self-employment. However, there are always doubts regarding the acquisition, which were already not a glamorous issue in the last weeks of his application. Currently, self-employment would be counterproductive to his last job, which is pending a court hearing, with exclusion of sideline activities and possibly trigger an additional dismissal.
 
NewPlacement: Follow-up of last week's meeting (additional demand factors) and preparation of a re-briefing and a "mirrored benefit analysis" for the final meeting next week. In parallel, some individual recommendations go out to decision makers in the company through PersonalAG via postal hybrid letter. For each letter the corresponding decision maker and the letters were individualized among other things by the 1st bridge sentence and the ranking of the own success fields. Also in parallel, further meetings with headhunters and companies were arranged. A real full-time job.
 
Our recommendations:
15. recommendations from third parties without fee demands to the target company and targeted to the decision makers without impression of a normal application find a high attention. In some cases, a new position has even been established in the company.
16. self-employment or interim activities can be used to improve the initial situation on the labor market, if the topic brings one to the table of the decision-makers in the company. In the best case, this can turn into long-term permanent positions.
