Male domain
Ms. Schneider is a successful manager who has consistently achieved excellent success in her internationally operating group up to the position of Head of Compliance. She is thus responsible for protecting the company, its bodies and employees from criminal prosecution, sanctions and negative PR by ensuring worldwide compliance with laws, regulations, sanctions and self-restrictions. In addition to all the technical expertise, this job involves worldwide travel and a decidedly high degree of diplomacy, and she must - quite literally - stand her "ground" in this male domain. After the entire division of the company was relocated to another continent, Ms. Schneider decided to keep the center of her life with her family in Germany and to reorient herself despite the uncertainty. This is how she came to NewPlacement and commissioned us with her coaching. In intensive cooperation, we worked out a real success story that "advertised" her studies in the humanities outside the industry and her - for all her success and competence - unusual career path. Through the launch at headhunters, she was approached for a secret project in a corporation, a so-called warm change. The previous job holder had no knowledge that the board was no longer planning to work with him and was looking for a successor. Depending on their area of responsibility, each member of the board had a different view of what was required in the area of compliance. Accordingly, an individual success story was developed with Ms. Schneider for each individual meeting. Based on Ms. Schneider's professional background, this optimally reflected the needs and requirements of the respective board member. After these discussions, the Executive Board unanimously decided to give Ms. Schneider overall responsibility with far-reaching powers for compliance within the Group. However, the job acquisition was only a partial success and we accompanied Ms. Schneider both before she took up her new position and during the first few months of her new position as part of the job insurance. In the process, we were able to jointly identify and eliminate a number of stumbling blocks (potential internal job aspirants, envy of proximity to the management board, competencies and status symbols, etc.). In the meantime, Ms Schneider has settled in and established herself in her new position and, from the point of view of the members of the Board of Management, it is impossible to imagine the Group without her.
