Interim Management - quo vadis
Interim management, the search for suitable managers, the providers (search, billing) and the interim managers will have to show a high willingness to change based on personal assessments, also due to the developments regarding search engines. Interim managers will no longer be searched for and found from databases ("freezer") but ad hoc ("fresh from the field") with a higher matching rate. If there is a secondary search, then the focus will be on XING and LinkedIn. Interim managers will have to find follow-on assignments themselves or with a personal marketing manager analogous to football, rather than waiting to be found (active/passive swap). Headhunters will harmonize the search of permanent employees and interim managers. There will be processes in place to meet the urgency of filling interim managers through internal and regional task splitting. Interim manager documents will need to be individualized to the demand factors of the companies seeking them. Standard documents for both permanent and interim are no longer sufficient for individualization and high matching.
