Insurance for the job
Executives go through an intensive application process with professional and individualized interviews with headhunters and companies to find their strategically right job with the chance afterwards. All is well, but then the tension drops and the further application process at the internal and external interfaces in the company is not taken seriously, first signals are overheard, familiarization is not in 5:55, no early warning system and no coach to help on the meta-level. Then there is the threat of job loss during the probationary period! That does not have to happen. Just take job insurance as seriously as the application process and use a sparring partner!
The job insurance consists of two parts.
One part requires an organizational constellation before starting the job, in order to identify and strategically counteract dangers, such as those posed by an internal title aspirant. A picture from the meta-level as a "top view", which should find its place as a reminder on the wall in the home office, helps here. In addition, an integration strategy is required without overburdening oneself and in the 360-degree view of all interfaces.
On the other hand, an early warning system is needed that perceives disturbances sensitively and takes them seriously. "It'll work out" means principle hope and has no place in the probationary period. If you lose the meta-level in these initial difficulties, you should have an experienced coach at your side.
