Born on Christmas 1956, Hans-Christoph Nagel participated in rowing, karate and handball before taking up field hockey. He completed his university entrance examinations in Lübeck, studied business administration, worked on the sales force for TT line during his university holidays, and has been a state field hockey trainer. After eight years in Hamburg at Tchibo and Reemtsma, he moved to the Sauerland to work for Krombacher and the Agency for Agencies, during which time he also developed passion for golf strategy. After moving to eastern Westphalia to work for IGEKA, became field hockey coach again for men and women. While an executive, he also studied psychology at the Paracelsus School, and after more than seven years decided to set out on his own. It was then that he met Gerd Löffler and became inspired by the success of "holistic and individualized NewPlacement coaching" methods and guiding candidates through their career.
