Josef Hölzl - Profile
After graduating from high school and completing his military service, Josef took a one-year orientation course in mechanical engineering with an internship at BMW. He subsequently completed education and training as a banker, developing his skills in positions as loan officer, corporate client consultant and head of corporate clients. Josef become executive assistant to the management board and was entrusted with managing controlling, organization, IT, marketing & sales and technical services, along with an appointment as an authorized signing officer. He continued his education, graduating from the ADG (Academy of German Cooperatives) with a degree in banking administration (equivalent to an MBA). Subsequently appointed executive board director of the VR-Bank Fürstenfeldbruck eG, he had comprehensive sales responsibility for corporate client, real estate developer and branch operations business incl. cross-selling, as well as for personal consulting and support to top business clients in a wide variety of industries. Josef was placed in charge of organization, IT, real estate and public relations. After serving on the board of directors for eleven years, he transitioned to self-employment, working as a management consultant and interim manager. He was then trained as a NewPlacement coach.
Josef Hölzl was born and raised in Freising, Germany. His early years were characterized by enthusiasm for team sports and skiing. He completed his basic military service in Erding and his informational studies program in Munich. Happily married, Josef is the proud father of a daughter. He expands his horizons by taking cultural and city tours and traveling to faraway places, while also indulging his great interest in foreign languages and fine literature. He furthermore has a strong affinity for the subject of IT. His leisure time is dedicated to being active with walking, long-distance hiking (the Way of St James pilgrimage route in 2015/16) and cycling; he is a passive participant in soccer and the biathlon. Josef takes pleasure in coaching others, especially when dealing with people with complex career histories.
