Michael Ohletz was born in Wiesbaden in 1950. In his youth he was an athlete successfully running middle distance numerous times at state as well as German track and field championships and was a member of the sports boosters in Fürstenfeldbruck. After school he learned the gastronomy business and spent two and a half years as a flight attendant to finance his business administration studies at the university. Through his consulting work he came to know and appreciate other cultures (China, Singapore, Egypt). Within and outside of the Lufthansa group he had continuous training in coaching, communication psychology, team moderation and group development. He is happily married, the proud father of a trombone-playing son, a passionate skier and runner and he loves classical music.
