Gerd Löffler is an attorney with a degree in law and studies in psychology. He started his career as an assistant to the HR-manager of the "Nordsee" fish shipping company (Unilever) and spent 16 years in human resources and general management for leading international brands and medium-sized retail chains. Since 1982 he has been a trainer for start-up seminars at the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce on a voluntary base. When Nestlé took over Rowntree Mackintosh in 1988 he learned a lot about sudden interruptions of careers and ways to deal with this crisis in life. An outplacement consultant since 1989, he trained with the Claessens Group in the Netherlands and various outplacement trainers in the USA continuing his education permanently. Gerd Löffler is one of the pioneers of German outplacement and developed the "holistic and individualized method". He has been the CEO of NewPlacement (until 1992 known as Loeffler + Partner GmbH outplacement and career coaching) since 1992 and has successfully coached more than 300 candidates/managers.
