Dr Martin Leupold
Dr Martin Leupold was born in 1950 and passed university entrance qualifications at Lyceum Alpinum in Zouz, Switzerland and at an international sports high school in 1970. He plays cricket and ice hockey and is a passionate skier and mountain climber. He completed his master’s degree in business management 1976 and wrote his doctoral dissertation on employee surveys 1984. He was an HR officer at EADS for seven years, the head of human resources for Digital Equipment und Compaq Computer for eight years, and the head of human resources for Süddeutscher Verlag from 1992-2002. From 2003 to 2009 he was the chief director of human resources and the director of strategic HR projects at the European Patent Office. His broad HR experience includes: assessment centers, more than 3000 hiring processes, job evaluation, personal development, management training, talent promotion, performance management, employee surveys, workflow analyses, restructuring, benchmarking, change management, outsourcing, outplacement, works agreements, social plans, coaching specialists and managers, negotiating with works councils, and collective bargaining and labor law. He trained as a coach and process consultant with the team lead by Dr Rosenkranz and is experienced in the sectors aerospace, IT, media and public service (European Patent Office).
