Following his studies in economics in Stuttgart and Mannheim, Bernd Schuster gained his first work and management experience at the Commerzbank AG. He continued his professional way at savings and loan bank organization, and after working at the Sparkasse Ludwigsburg as the head of credit administration, he became a regional manager at Nassauischen Sparkasse in Wiesbaden.  His next station was a board member at Sparkasse Paderborn. The position as the chairman of the board of the Ostseesparkasse in Rostock was particularly influential on his career. During his time as a board member of the Norddeutsche Landesbank, he also served as the Royal Danish honorary consul with responsibility for Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, and was active in various works groups and advisory committees for federal and state governments.
After many years in management and executive functions, Bernd Schuster started his own business. Following extensive psychological training as a coach and mentor, he has been active in management consulting and company development, focusing on strategic management, restructuring, change management, business optimization and financing. He held additional functions on advisory and supervisory boards of medium-sized companies. Bernd Schuster trained as a NewPlacement coach with Gerd Löffler and Hans-Christoph Nagel and concentrates on qualified NewPlacement for first and second-level managers.
